Clophill LakesThe Greensand Trust is delighted to offer a new Nature Reserve at Clophill Lakes featuring otters, sand martins and colourful dragonflies in the wetlands, and skylarks and wildflowers in the grassland areas. We are now open daily (9am to 6pm) providing public access in a sensitive and sustainable manner which conserves and enhances these emerging habitats, whilst enabling visitors to share in the benefits this very special environment provides. Please note: dogs on lead and cashless payment only. No cycling or fishing. There will be restricted access around the site for around 3 weeks and your normal routes may be disrupted during this time. We lost our boardwalk in an arson attack which took place just four months after we opened the site to the public in August last year. In just six months the community has raised the money we needed to build a bigger, better, more resilient boardwalk - we can't thank our supporters enough! Please take extra care when accessing the site. We will provide as much information as we can whilst works are underway. Please bear with us during these works - we won't be looking our best but we do hope you will continue to visit and support the nature reserve. The cafe will still be open as usual (10am - 3pm) and large areas of the reserve will remain unaffected. We rely on your continued support to fund the site which is run on a not for profit basis.
